Arkoma Operations, LLC is a natural gas production company with upstream and midstream assets in Colorado and Oklahoma. Arkoma operates on behalf of several affiliated companies including SJB Durango Upstream, SJB Durango Midstream, Arkoma Assets, Arkoma Assets II, and Arkoma Assets III.

Our Team
Jason Pugh
Chief Executive Officer
Jason joined Arkoma in January 2021 to form a new team to manage the company’s growing asset base. Prior to Arkoma, Jason served for 7 years as Operations Manager at Protégé Energy III LLC, an EnCap-backed E&P focused in the Eagle Ford and Utica shale plays. Starting with no assets in 2013, Protégé grew into a substantial Eagle Ford player with operated production reaching 7,500 bopd and 30,000 mcfpd by late 2019. Jason began his career at Samson Resources in Tulsa, holding various engineering and team manager positions throughout his 8 years there. Jason earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa in 2006 and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Oklahoma.
Andrew Price
Senior Engineer
Andrew joined Arkoma in February 2021 to manage the company’s Colorado assets, corporate reserves, and business development. Prior to Arkoma, Andrew worked as a Reservoir Engineer at Protégé Energy III LLC, an EnCap-backed E&P focused in the Eagle Ford and Utica shale plays. While at Protégé Andrew was primarily responsible for Eagle Ford assets with 40 MMBOE of proved reserves and $421MM PV10 as of YE19. He worked extensively with partners to facilitate development as well as led Protégé’s A&D activity. He began his career at Newfield Exploration Company in Tulsa where he worked on several different Mid-Continent teams in engineering focused roles during his 6 year tenure. Andrew earned a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 2009.
Andy Palmer
Controller
Andy joined Arkoma in January 2021 to set up an in-house accounting department as Arkoma’s asset base had outgrown the prior outsourced accounting setup. Prior to Arkoma, Andy served in a Senior Accountant role at Tecolote Energy, an NGP backed E&P in the Anadarko Basin. There, he played a key role in developing processes to streamline accounting and operational reporting while maximizing the value generated by utilizing an outsourced accounting provider. Andy began his career at Samson Resources in 2012 serving in various accounting roles. Andy earned a B.S. in Accounting from Missouri State University, a M.S. of Accounting and Financial Analysis from Northeastern State University, and is a licensed CPA in the state of Oklahoma.
Eric Marshall
Senior Accountant
Eric joined Arkoma in February 2021 as a Senior Accountant to handle revenue accounting and regulatory activities. Previously, Eric worked at Protégé Energy III LLC for 4 years performing revenue accounting and gas nominations. Prior to joining Protégé, Eric served in a variety of management and accounting roles with Newfield Exploration and BP. Eric earned a B.S. in Accounting from Northeastern State University.
Mitch Werth
Senior Accountant
Mitch joined Arkoma Operations in February 2021 to assist in the operational accounting. Prior to joining Arkoma, Mitch was a senior accountant for 4 years with Protégé Energy III, responsible for JIB, AR, AP, and financial reporting. Before Protégé, Mitch was with Newfield Exploration. During his 16 years with Newfield, Mitch served in a variety of accounting and managerial roles. He began his career at Amoco as a business analyst. Mitch earned a B.S. in Accounting from Kansas State University.
Patty Yelton
Senior Landman
Patty Yelton joined Arkoma as Senior Landman in February 2021, bringing with her over 30 years of industry experience. Prior to Arkoma, Patty served as Senior Landman at Protégé Energy III LLC working the Eagle Ford Shale and at Brigadier focused on drilling the Marble Falls in Texas. Previously to Brigadier, Patty spent most of her career at Samson Resources Company where she worked her way up to Senior District Landman. She also served in various land roles at Cities Service Company and OXY. Patty has a diversified land background working numerous basins and geographical areas in North America. Patty received her BBA from Langston University. She is a Certified Professional Landman and an active member of the American Association of Petroleum Landmen, Tulsa Association of Petroleum Landmen and San Juan Basin Landman Association.
